Most updates for Expert SEO System are fairly automatic.
You will be prompted by a message that an update is required and there will be a link to click to download the update file.
In general you should download that to your “downloads” folder on your computer. However your specific settings may be different and it may download by default to another folder.
Once downloaded you can navigate to the downloads folder (or on Firefox click the green download arrow at the top right of your screen). Double click the file to run or right click to open the file and the installer/updater will run.
Follow the prompts (including allowing it to close any programs it needs to) and your ESS application will be updated.
If you have any problems with the update or you are specifically prompted to do so you should uninstall ESS manually.
To uninstall ESS go to the Control Panel from your main programs menu. The view in control panel may vary depending on your settings and OS version but navigate to Programs/Uninstall a program.
Find “Expert SEO System” in the uninstall list and right click it and choose uninstall. Follow the prompts to completely uninstall the program.
On rare occasions the Windows uninstall can fail or not be unable to completely uninstall applications. If this happens then open windows explorer and navigate to c:Program Files (or c:Program Files(x86)) and delete the “Expert SEO System” folder and all it’s contents. Don’t worry, all your settings for this program will still be saved.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are uninstalling due to a an update failure you will need to download the installation file from your original download page. You cannot use the update file to install ESS.
